This week our challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is
Stitches Real or Faux
Here are the rules:
- You MUST follow the theme and use at least one Cheery Lynn Designs die, of course, we would love to see more than one.
- You MUST add a link to your blog post in the InLinkz at the end of that post; no back posting, only new projects are allowed
- You MUST link to our blog in your post
- You may only enter the challenge ONCE per week.
I decided I wanted to play with a few dies I haven't used much. This is a quick layout but has so many wonderful layers. Let me share a few extra pictures.
I started with this very colorful piece of paper, I used a honeycomb that wasn't fully cut as a stencil. Using modeling paste I added a pattern sporadically. I then used some Gesso around the edges.
I then matted this top piece on top of a piece of yellow card stock, then stitched with my sewing machine all around the edges. I won't say it is very straight but I still like it very much.
Just Wanted to share a few more close ups
These are pictures of my oldest...my beautiful daughter.
This was a great layout to put together and I enjoyed all the pieces.
Hope you join us this week and use some Stitches

ReplyDeleteOh, Dawn, both your daughter and your layout are just beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI only have a few of Cheery Lynne's dies; haven't used any yet, but soooo dying to do so!!! I'm not the best cardmaker so I really want to take my time when I use them and not rush!!! I've seen some of the entries and they're all amazing, so when I enter I don't want my card to be "that" bad. Don't expect to win any or anything, just want to participate in the fun; but also want it to be one of my best!
Love all the care you put into all your projects, my friend. TFS!!!
Beaut page Dawnie, love the butterfly and cages, very pretty!
