I used the following supplies:
English Tea Party Doily Die
 Leaf

The background is a resist technique ~ here is the technique at Splitcoast Stampers.
I used a mixture of dies that really aren't Christmas pieces, but I believe they worked well for this
5 3/4 x 5 3/4 card.
Well you know how I love my flowers? I actually made my flowers and then used a little Creative Inspirations Paint on them and also on the image I stamped in the frame.
I also pulled out my Paper Blossoms Paper Tool Kittool set and used them to add dimension to my flower and leaves.
The great Christmas papers are from Bo Bunny.

You know you want to get some of those Christmas cards started- why don't you join us this week.

You have to try this Resist Technique

This week the challenge at Sweet Stamps is :
Christmas Resist

Each week we choose a winner from the challenge to win a $20 Shopping Spree at Sweet Stamps towards your purchase of rubber stamps. You can use any stamp for your card but if you use a Sweet stamp you receive two entries in the challenge.
Remember, you can only enter the challenge one time, those using Sweet Stamps images will get an extra drawing in the challenge. Please limit the amount of challenges to 10 (including ours)  You must link back to us in your blog post.
I used the following supplies:

Isn't this a great resist background? I started with an embossing folder and used ink over the background.
Here is a couple pictures of the wax paper in the embossing folders and the glossy paper with the designs.
I got two papers from each piece of wax paper one piece in front and one behind.
I started by rubbing an ink pad lightly over the glossy paper and then went over the paper another time...I believe the darker the better

I matted my image and then matted that on a doily I split in half and mounted in each diagional corner.
That yummy ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon ~ the June ribbon of the month club assortment.
That wonderful Christmas paper is from Bo Bunny .
I hope you try this wonderful technique- it was so fun to play with.

I used the following supplies:

I started with this set
 Holiday Sweets Set S006P
I know it is a Christmas set but it really worked for me to design a background.

Then I could stamp my carousel horse and also my floral frame. Then all I had to do was cut out the images and attach to a base card.
After fussy cutting I pop dotted and added to an embossed star background I triple matted.
I had some great ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon that is part of the this months ribbon of the month.
Didn't the background work great for this stamped and fussy cut horse design?
I had such a great time finally getting to play this week, convalescing at home has been a hard time for me. Glad I could get down to my craft cave for a short time and make this project.
So won't you play along with us this week?

My finished Design  one image was stamped on Kraft paper and the second one on Brown card stock.
I colored the fussy cut one with Copics to add color to the leaf area.
Here is a close up of the image stamped  and then bleached with a paint brush and bleach.

The paper is from Authenique and is called Splendid...I just love the tones in the stack of papers.

Now won't you play along and pull out some bleach, and BE CAREFUL so you don't spill anywhere.

I am sharing two versions of the same card with the lighting changed...you will have to tell me which you like better. I am one of the team members that also have a hard time with cards for men...I just love to add flowers to everything...lol
I don't think the greenery counts, do you?
My paper is from Graphic 45 and the card stock is from Quickutz, and the ribbon is from my stash.
Do you like how I altered the frame and fence? On the fence I ran it through with my embossing plate, I use it for everything I want to have texture.
Wanted to share a close up of the frame inked with Tim Holtz distress inks and also the texture on the fence and inks to bring out the texture.
One last view of the front of my card.
A quick view of the inside just waiting for a sentiment when I need to give away.
