Fall Is In The Air & Feeding The Birds

Welcome to the Crafter's Companion October Challenge and my weekly Crafter's Companion Blog Post-

This month our challenge to you is to make a project using a Crafter's Companion Stamp and the theme
                                                              "Use Fall colors".
Mulberry Wood EZMount Stamp Set - Christmas Wishes is the image I have to share this month for my Crafter's Companion Challenge for October.

I know you would expect me to have a Fall design using the colors. I decided it was fun to have a Christmas design as a fun twist.
I love the fun design using these adorable raccoons. These are colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.
These markers always make my images stand out and the colors blend so well. I used a little 3D Crystal Lacquer to accent a few areas.
This great polka dotted ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Have you played along with our monthly challenge yet?

My next project is my weekly post over at Crafter's Companion Blog.
I had so much fun making this project, and I hope you enjoy my quick tutorial.
I started with a pretty frame and old picture I picked up at a second hand store for $1.00

I used a few products to first alter and crackle first. After allowing these to dry (o.k I will admit I sped it up with my embossing gun)  then added a soft blue paint I mixed with an acrylic glaze to make it more translucent.I LOVE how this turned out!
So while my frame was drying I got to work coloring this adorable winter image Humphrey Xmas EZMount Stamp Set - Feed the Birds
I started with my favorite Reds Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers - Reds.
I moved on to Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers - Blues to color
the blue birds of happiness. I used some of the best papers for coloring Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock for Alcohol Markers.
I colored this cutie with some soft greys Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers - Cool Greys. and knew these would be perfect.
Now I matted the image and used some wonderful lace to accent the picture before placing in the frame. I used a sentiment from another Humphrey set that seemed to work better for what I wanted  this frame to say.I matted the stamped sentiment and attached to wrinkled seam binding with bakers twine.
Here is a close up of the lace I used to accent that adorable image...don't these Spectrum Noir markers blend well with the acrylic paint I used.
Just a few flowers and leaves and beautiful Want 2 Scrap bling on the inside to make the image pop!
So glad I got to share this sweet framed image, sometimes I need to alter and use my stamps for fun projects.

What A Cracker!!!

Welcome to the Crafter's Companion September Challenge!! This month our challenge to you is to make a project using a Crafter's Companion Stamp and the theme "Stripes OR Dots".
Strawberry Kisses  Christmas set  What A Cracker is the image I have to share this month for my Crafter's Companion Challenge for September.

Isn't this a fun image? I had to share this one because it reminds me of a celebration maybe even a New Years celebration.
I went to work coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers...always enjoy playing with new combos.
These are such a wonderful set of alcohol markers and cover so well.
I even used some 3D Crystal Lacquer  and Stickles to accent many areas.
I even took the time to add some gold glitter from my stash to a section of the cracker...this is a shot of how I used liquid glue and then added the glitter.
I sure hope you join us this month at Crafter's Companion Challenge, we always have such great prizes.

I used one of my favorite images that reminds me of my daughter when she was a little girl. This image is from Paintbox Poppets CD and one of many adorable children on this CD.This friendship theme is between the little girl and her favorite Teddy Bear.
I cut several of the layers and pop dotted them and added some of my favorite stickles and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Such a quick and easy card with such an adorable little one. Hope you play along with us this month.

This week at Crafter's Companion~  Team 1 is able to share anything we want from the CC store.

I used Stamp It Holiday Collection, isn't this a fun set to play with or what.
I started by stamping this set and coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers of course.
I used several of my favorite reds and blended away...then used some liquid applique for the white areas.
I used a window die cut to look like a clothing chest, I know Santa has to hang up his suit while he isn't using it  doesn't he?
Each piece was fussy cut and pop dotted to the chest.
I even opened the chest and added the suit in the inside with some of my favorite Really Reasonable Ribbon Baker's Twine.
I wanted to share how I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the die cut.

The paper on the background is a fun Webster's Pages vellum piece. I used my Wescott crafting knife and a ruler to cut out the opening so you can see inside the chest.
Now you know I had to decorate Santa's chest just a little~ I am sure Mrs Claus would want it that way.

Everyone Loves a Circus right? Well what about this adorable guy? Humphrey EZMount Stamp Set - Party Time

You know I started with coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers as usual.I tried using many colorful colors together~ I even used several together in the circles and added some 3D Crystal Lacquer and some stickles for dimension.

All these wonderful background papers were in this stash of papers I have been trying to use up...so glad I could use them on this fun design.I actually cut the banner out of a patterned paper I had in my supplies.
That yummy ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and just worked perfect for this fun design.
