This is a before I added my weekly junk and notes.

Week 40 Prompt: Experiment

One of the awesome things about art journaling is it’s a great way to experiment with new techniques and ideas without a whole lot of risk – if you don’t like how it turns out there is always gesso!
 October 4, 2014 - Week 41 Challenge:  Polka dots

Week 40 Challenge:  Paint or color with three colors you never use.
 Week 39: In the City
For this week’s prompt think Cityscapes, Skylines, Skyscrapers, Architecture styles and more! You can paint, collage – whatever inspires you!
Used some of my new TCW stencils - oh yea I had so much fun using them. Lots of texture on this weeks pages.

Black & White and Making Time

Hello My Friends,
Today I want to share my planner page from last week, I have been very good about doing my weekly page but not sharing.
 Journal52

Week 35 Prompt: Making Time

For this week’s prompt, create a page all about time. Think clocks, watches, schedules – or create the page about your favorite ways to spend time. You can paint, collage, doodle – whatever you like to do!

 August 30, 2014 - Week 36 Challenge:  Black & White

I had so much fun doing this Black and white theme but it was a little challenging to stay at black and white.

I used some of my favorite Unity stamps and Heartfelt Creations flowers and some stamps from Robin Marie from the Documented Life.
This past week was such a hard week for me, I needed all the positive sayings I could to keep me going.
I wanted to share my second planner page I made in my second planner book I have going.
This was just for fun and no guidelines.
Now doesn't this page with bling really look like me? I used all the clippings from an article about Susan Branch...I have always loved her products and doodling and of course you know I love pink.
Thanks again for popping in to visit. I appreciate all my visitors.

Planner Page Updates Oh Wow!

I can't believe I am so many weeks behind in sharing my planner pages. So I am going to share a couple weeks of past pages.
August 13, 2014 - Week 34 Challenge:  Fill the page with numbers that relate to your week (4 trips to the grocery store etc.)

Week 33: Gratitude

For this week’s prompt, include a gratitude – something you are thankful for on your page.

August 23, 2014 - Week 35 Challenge:  Draw, sketch, paint, doodle a face or cut and alter one from a book or magazine.

Week 34: Alphabetical
For this week’s prompt, incorporate the alphabet into your page in some way. This could be just choosing your favorite letter or practicing your lettering or creating a new alphabet design!

I try to craft every week no matter how busy or stressful my week is going...this planner has been such a blessing and helped me continue to try new things and open my mind to many things. It has also been a great way to write my thoughts and document my daily life.
I will be back on Monday with this weeks planner page.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Documented Life & Journal 52 Weekly Pages

The Documented Life and Journal 52 pages I did this week.
With summer heating up, this week’s prompt is all about passion: What are you passionate about? It could be your work, your family and friends, your hobbies and interests. What sets you on fire?
June 7, 2014 - Week 24 Challenge: Use book pages or text paper.
Started by using a paper bag that has Gesso  and Mod Podge. I used several book pages that I have used as extra paint pallets and that I doodle on. I ripped and made a collage.
Added bits and bobs of stamped images and favorite pieces of things I save. You see that I did my background colors with Deco-Art paint and used it it in all my collage pages.Unity stamps were used in many of the images.
My PASSION is my art and my Reiki Energy healing so I combined the two to collage an extra page.
My pages after I doodled and distressed with Faber Castell markers.
Thanks so much for popping in and leaving comments, I appreciate you all.
Hope you pop back this Thursday to check out a new project I have to share.

Journal Planner Pages~The Documented Life ~52 Weeks

52 Weeks ~Week 22 Prompt: Traveling

This week’s prompt is all about traveling. What’s your favorite mode of transportation? Walking? Bus? Road Trip? Airplane? Boat? And where will you travel to? What will you pack in your suitcase? Create a page in your journal that will take you on an adventure!
May 31, 2014 - Week 23 Challenge - Practice gratitude - write what you are grateful for each day this week.
This week was our Anniversary so it was the perfect time to write about gratitude. I added an envelope with a tag that was a free gift from a recent Unity Stamps purchase... I attached some Webster Pages fabric pieces as labels.I wrote about what marriage means to me.
I attached a piece of the Red Lobster bag because we went there for dinner on our Anniversary. It was the perfect way to document about our day.
The travel trailer is the thing I would love to have so I could visit many states and bring along more supplies and crafts and pets.
Thanks for popping in and checking out my weekly pages.
Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Documented Life Week 22~Journal 52 Planner Pages

Roben-Marie Smith
Do you remember a couple weeks ago when I shared how I saved bags to use for painting on? This was the bag from dinner, and all I did was add watered down Gesso on both sides. It was perfect for my background paper to enter my Mandala ...With DecoArt paints it feels like a piece of leather after I add a layer of Mod Podge.
I did lots more layers of DecoArt paint and then cut scrap paper that I had used all my extra paints when I had some left over. Pieces of paper bag and scrap white paper works best for me.
I found this package of stickers in my pile but it had no label~it worked perfect with this weeks project.Don't you love the fun colors of paint I used?

Thanks for popping in this week, always appreciate you visiting.
Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Documented Life Week 21 Planner Page

Roben-Marie Smith
Week 21 Challenge - Add embroidery or embroidery floss to your page - no floss? use thread.
Week 20 Journal 52-  For this week’s prompt, create a page inspired by a book you read. It can be the last book you read or a favorite book. You can paint, draw, doodle, collage – whatever medium you are most comfortable with.
I am so thrilled with how this week turned out. I know I said it last week but I am enjoying the process more and more each week.
Well of course I used some old dictionary paper to keep the layers thin in my book. Making my own book to add messages inside during the week.

I also watered down some gesso and added to both sides of my pages...then I added the graduated sizes together and sewed right down the middle.

So I added both challenges using thread and adding a book!!!
So I finally got to add the rest of my Mother's Day cards to a page-I sewed them in. Also added lots of doodling with my Faber Castell, sealed everything with Ranger seal in Matte. Well of course I used my Mod Podge. Lilypad designs made into stickers.
Thanks for popping in and visiting.
Hope your having a wonderful week!!!

Documented Life- Journal 52 Week 20 Pages

Are you a Documented Life participant - Art to the 5th? Maybe you follow Journal 52 Weeks?
I am following both of these weekly sites. Each week I get a prompt and do a page for my planner.
This is last weeks pages

So this week is  May 10, 2014 - Week 20 Challenge - Use a rubber stamp in a new way
Journal 52 Week 19 Prompt: Photography
I try to incorporate both into my weekly pages.
This is how my pages started with a one page TipIn and some Deco-Art paint. I also used colored pencils and gamosol on the days of the week.
Got to use my newest stamps set from Unity called Anastasia {believes} isn't this great?
I think this is my favorite week of journaling! Love all the extra pieces on my third page that I painted with my Deco-Art paint and Faber Castell products also some Lilypad printables I fussy cut.
This last week was Mother's Day-I decided to add a few of my cards in this week and the rest in next week.Using Washi tape keeps them pretty secure. I love to keep my cards and notes attached in my date book. It is always in my purse so I can write and read daily.

I will try to share a little each week about how I make the pages. I even have started a second planner to keep in my craft room with artwork.
Hope your having a great week, let me know if you have any questions.
Hugs
