Quick Thank You Gift Idea

Today I am popping in to share a quick gift I made for some really special friends in my life. You know those friends that are always there no matter what is happening. The ones that make you laugh, sit with you when you are crying. I am so blessed to have FIVE of these special people in my life.
There were these gold and silver frames at my local Micheal's in the dollar bins so I picked up a few to use for quick gifts.
I used a Unity sentiment for the inside on a piece of altered paper. I die cut several pieces to decorate the outside. Greenery and holly leaves are from Cheery Lynn, bell is from Tim Holtz.
I was also able to find these canvas bags at Micheal's with the Thank You already printed on them. You know I had to add some more color with some greenery and pine cone stamps from Unity.
Here are the bags with frame inside and a little ribbon and a flower added.
So what do you think of my quick little gifts? Have you made some quick and easy gifts this year? Hope you share a link with me.

You Light Up My Life Lantern & Decorations

This past month I helped a dear friend that was celebrating her 50th Wedding Anniversary. I shared the invitations my friend Mary and I created last month. Now I wanted to share some of the decorations I made for the party.
I made three lanterns above for the front table.
Each lantern had four panels and were cut out with one of my favorite Cheery Lynn dies. I added vellum behind each die cut and edged the corners with gold.

A couple more views- the flowers were made with Cheery Lynn flower and leaf dies. It looked so pretty with a candle in the inside.

Here flowers were yellow when she married so she wanted yellow for the 50th celebration.
I wanted to share some of the table decorations and flowers I designed.

I was so honored to be able to help my dear friend have such a fabulous celebration. It really did look elegant, and we let the guests take home the table decorations and party favors.
If you have any questions please let me know, I didn't want to make a longer post and bore anyone with all the details.
Thanks for stopping in today.

Happy New Year- Let Me Light The Way

So thrilled to be working with the new PK Glitz  Vintage Hues Art Acetates . You can pop over to the PK Glitz store and check out all the supplies I used in my project.

Let me share my Lantern using just one of these NEW acetates.

$4.95
New Year 1

I have a few pictures to share  of my steps along the way. Please stop over at PK Glitz Blog and see my steps and many links to several wonderful classes and great tutorials.
Here is some of my supplies when I started my lantern project.Started by choosing one of the acetates I wanted to use and cut that one from the sheet of four.
I LOVE, LOVE using this Crystal Clear with sticky papers as a mat and especially behind these acetates.
There are some wonderful classes with video of Janelle sharing some wonderful techniques RIGHT HERE
Can you believe how spectacular the colors are on these acetates? I even had to show you with a paper behind

Here are a few views  of some of my favorite glitter glitz gold.
I chose to cut four of the die cut shapes, altered them and added them to a sheet of sticky paper. This is when I added the spectacular Crystal Clear  all over.
I chose to use a band in the corners  to hold my lantern together.

Using strips down each side to assemble.
Once my piece was assembled I added a few flowers to decorate the corners
A side view so you can see the corners and arches.
I had to share a view of my lantern lit from the inside-isn't it beautiful?
PLEASE DON"T USE A LIT CANDLE INSIDE PAPER LANTERN-BATTERY OPERATED IS BEST
So glad I got to share my Vintage Hues Art Acetates
lantern with you today.
You can pop over to the PK Glitz store and check out all the supplies I used in my project.

To Have & Hold

I made these wedding cards awhile back and never posted... a very clean and simple design in both white and black using some of my favorite pieces.
Here is a better view of the white design. I used a Cheery Lynn flower die, a Marianne's Design embossing folder.

I can't remember which stamp set this was I used with the words and rings.
So glad I am cleaning out my pictures and sharing many projects I never shared.
Thanks for stopping by -so glad to have you visit.

I have a few cards I would like to share that I have created.

I have a card I would like to share that I have created using my favorite The Rubber Café Trailing Butterflies Large stamp.

For this fun fall colored design I used paper from My Mind's Eye, the bling is from Want 2 Scrap, and the stamp is available  from The Rubber Cafe.
The spectacular seam binding is from Really Reasonable Ribbon .I stamped and cut out the extra butterflies from an En caustic Wax background I created.
Someone asked me to create this for a Thank You card for someone that really likes butterflies. What do you think, have I satisfied a butterfly lover?
Again I have used some of my favorite products to create this fun design.
I used a Darice Butterflies embossing folder from Crafter's Companion, Fabulous colorful ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, ink from Memento from Crafter's Companion. The wonderful flower was created from a die I have from Cheery Lynn Designs. Once again the pearls are from Want 2 Scrap.
The flower center is from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found collection.
