Sneak Peek at some Bigsby cards By Mary

Yes I have to show you some really wonderful cards that were made with this adorable Bigsby image. My friend Mary(we affectionally call her Hugging Mary) is a really talented card maker that doesn't have a blog so I wanted to share her two cards she made to share with everyone.
Stop back again tomorrow to see another project with this Bigsby image and more information I hope.

This is the front of the card Mary made using the CTMH stamp set Festive Frills.

This is the inside of this spectacular card Mary made. She embossed this pop up Christmas Tree to give the inside such wonderful details. Doesn't Bigsby look adorable under the tree snacking on his cookies?

How about this simply embossed Santa image to shadow the Bigsby image , don't you think this is so clever?
Please leave some kind words for Mary because I know she reads my blog daily and I want her to read how really talented she really is.
A big HUG Mary for being such a great friend and supporting our venture.

Thank You to All veteran & Military Families Today

*** SECOND POST BELOW ***

The custom of wearing a red poppy in memory of the sacrifices of war and also as a symbol of keeping the faith.

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,

It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies
Moina Michael
I just wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to all Veteran's -past, present , and all their families.
As a former spouse of a Navel Officer, sister to a Vietnam Veteran, and Mother of an Army Sargeant I felt I needed to post my thoughts.
If each of us reading this post takes the time to say THANK YOU to just one Veteran-past, present, or a family member today maybe they will know how much we appreciate their service.
I am sure lots of people don't realize how much a family sacrifices to support their military member. Most have made this choice and accept the life style but I am sure would appreciate all our support and appreciation.
Most people don't realize how much it means to all of them to be appreciated. My honey and I always make sure when we see a military person that we approach them and say a quiet thank you... shake their hand if they allow us.I can't tell you how many times a young soldier will be shocked but then a shy smile crosses their face.

So Excited to Announce A New Site Coming Soon

*** Second Post Today ***
I am so excited to announce the launching of a new site

My friend Karen is a talented artist that is jumping into the craft industry.Karen's site will be launching this week with a few of her whimsical digital images and many, many, surprises for all you crafter's out there.
I am so blessed to have Karen ask me to join her in this EXCITING venture.I can hardly contain myself... We are planning on opening the site to visitors this weekend(were feeling lucky).
Please keep watching for sneak peeks and links the next few days.Remember several exciting additions will be added over the next couple of weeks to the site so keep checking back , we hope you will become a follower and join us with this very exciting venture.

Bigsby the Mouse, this is the first image Karen passed on to me to share with other crafters.Several talented crafters out there have created some adorable projects using this image, you might have seen a few postings already. The site will have several examples from many of these wonderful ladies that were generous enough to share their finished projects ,but most of all were trusting and believing in a new venture and showing their support to Karen and I...We appreciate each and everyone of you.

I began by re-sizing the image and printing out on my printer.I decided to color this card with CTMH markers to try out the colors and a small amount of shading. Liquid Glass and Liquid Applique both from Close To My Heart were used to highlight some of the image.
Additional Supplies Used:
Spellbinders scalloped oval
My Mind's Eye -Signature Christmas-Glitter paper

Some pictures of Me & Family at Wedding this past weekend

My sister-in-law and I talking away, I always look like a deer in the headlights.
Can you believe I actually have a picture of me and my HONEY !!! He never wants me to share pictures of him but I got his permission to show these. Instead of the deer in headlights, I am working hard not to talk so my mouth is open or my tongue sticking out.

Me & my HONEY and his sister and brother-in-law. We went to such a beautiful wedding at a beautiful old ballroom.
I would usually wear a dress but since I am still sporting a bandage on my foot, I chose not to wear a dress and flat shoes together... I chose my pin striped suit and crazy patterned sheer shirt.(I did have a Lacey camisole underneath) You know you were thinking it!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my pictures, hope you have a wonderful day!

I am still here, have you missed me?

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know I am still here, just have been working on some new ventures.
Some of you know my friend Karen will be launching a new business very soon.We are working hard on all the details so the launch is successful. Please keep watching for information on my blog.
Unfortunately I have not had a lot of time to play or make many projects. The few projects I have made are surprises for the new site or conventions so I can't show them.
Thank you all for the great comments and e-mails it really makes my day. I apologize for not getting to all the blogs I usually do, I try to visit a few each day to keep up with new projects and because I miss the daily doses of friendship.
A big hugz to all of you...

A Few Goodies for my Get together

Just wanted to share a couple little crafts I made to give to my friends this weekend. We get together twice a month and just work on projects. I must admit I rarely get anything done because people need things or I am entertaining...but we have a good time playing and socializing.
1st picture is the scrap paper I stamp on and I put at each setting and the mini pumpkin I made for each person.

2Nd picture is of mini purses I made with scrap paper and fuzzy eyelash yarn. I got a stamp last week when I was at a convention in Milwaukee-it is from Toomuchfun rubberstamps. It is just a little purse you can stamp out.

On some I stamped on two sided paper, the others I stamped with a background stamp to give the inside a finished look. Now don't we all have nice insides in our purses? That is when we actually see the inside of our purses.
The joke is that if you look closely you will see one thing similar with all the examples...
Have you figured it out yet?

They all have dark Chocolate candy in them, I don't like dark chocolate so I always pass that on when I include candy. LOL I am so shameful!!!
Hope you enjoyed!

How about some more Fall cards?

Had a few minutes to play around with some of my fall colors I still have out on my table. I know you see my embossing folder gets lots of use, and also the Spell-binders-leaves.Now what says Fall or Thanksgiving better then leaves? HA HA

All my card stock used is from Close to my Heart,Antiqued Copper brads, embellishments, and ink.

I did some random stamping on the cards in the background and then used Perfect Pearls to color in the leaves sporadically. The ribbon I used is from We R Memory Keepers. The little boy image is from Stampin Up-Sweet Seasons.

Here is a close up of the the layers and my first coloring with Copic markers, I must admit I don't have many colors yet so I blended in some Prismacolor, and CTMH markers here and there. I have a long way to go before I can say I am good at coloring but I do enjoy trying.

Most people that know me also know I am not a perfectionist, so if things aren't perfect that is why...I think it is part of the charm of my projects...sounds good doesn't it?
