Let me introduce my I Admire You Guest Today Dawn Burnworth
Good morning all.. it is an honor and a pleasure to be here on
Dawn's blog with a little tutorial for you on how I color faces. My
camera is acting up so hopefully you can get some inspiration and join in the
fun. This sweet little image is called Sprout and she is from Mo'sDigital Pencil.
I first wanted to tell you that the type of paper you choose makes
a significant difference when coloring. I love to use Copics X-Press
paper or Paper Trey Inks heavy cardstock. They are two of my favorites
for faces. I started out on the above picture just coloring a base coat
with E0000.
The next color I add is E30. It is a tad bit darker than the
E1000. I just do a little around the edges and her ears.
Then I come back and add E11 over the E30 and E1000.
I then want to blush her cheeks so I add some R11 to her cute
little freckles.
Finally I come back in and blend all the colors together with
E1000. Be careful not to add too much ink and work quickly.
Then I cut her out and added her to a seed packet that I created
in Photoshop Elements. I am sending this off to my step mom for her
garden with a little seed packet enclosed. The Sweet Peas and 25 Cent
stamp are from Flourishes. Hope you have found this tutorial helpful.
Now didn't she make that look easy? I always enjoy and appreciate those that color so well sharing their process.
Please leave some love for Dawn and let her know how much we appreciate her sharing with all of us today.
