Today I have a fun new project to share using some beautiful flowers from Crafters Companion named Art Kure.
These images are available now to purchase
I decided to use many of these new flowers and make a flower journal for a Gardner.
Let me share a few of the steps, you can click on any of the pictures to see a bigger view.
I started with a cover and back piece of an old book and used them as my covers. After coloring each of the flowers with my Spectrum Noir markers I chose to use a die cut shape to make the shape. The inside of the shape was used for these designs.
Can you see that I chose to cut around the flowers a little so that most of the image showed.
Perfect time to pull out my Ultimate Crafter's Companion box. I decided to dry emboss the large shapes to make pieces to add to my pages.
Can you see that fun butterfly in the corner? I used that on a couple pieces also. Wanted to share how I distressed my page pieces with a tool.
Here is a view of the die cut shapes I cut to use to mat each of the flower designs. I also chose to ink distress the flower pieces and the mat and then the rest of the pieces.
The view of the cover before I attached and how I left a space for my vintage trim.
I used a tool to mark and punch holes in the covers and pages. Now let me share the pages all put together.
Sunflower on the arch page.
These are double views of the next four pages: Pansy, English Rose, Bearded Iris, and Wysteria mounted on the shapes.
The last page with a daffodil and back inside cover. Another view of the cover with a Pansy, Fuchsia and daffodil flowers. The book was put together with a fun yellow ribbon and then a pretty green ribbon was used to accent the images matted on the die cut shapes.
This was such a fun project to make and alter using these beautiful floral images from Art Kure...hope you check out all the projects this week from my team members-so much inspiration!
