Well here I go again with a wonderful challenge that I couldn't resist.
I have never played with Sketchy Thursday but that didn't deter me either... they had a sketch that lured me in.
That is my excuse and i am sticking with it.
Isn't this a great sketch? See I bet you want to play along also?
You have until Saturday August 21st to post and enter your use of this sketch.
Oh I am in love with this gorgeous picture of my beautiful daughter.
I knew as soon as I seen the sketch with a circle I had to use this photo. So what do you think?
Do you think I did a good job with the sketch?
The paper is from DCWV and I have been hoarding I mean collecting, or I mean saving for a special day.
I used a couple different sheets from the Mariposa stack and cut and pieced them on this layout.Don't you love all the glitz and shine on this paper? I also used that strip of purple paper from my scrap pile- I believe it is from Michael's.
I added crystal sugar to the flowers to make them shine and also to the big flower I pieced.I did some quick stitching with my sewing machine that I keep set up remember all the stitching I did last month?
Those beautiful flowers are Prima and are really some of my favorite. Man I wish I had a case of these.
Wish I knew someone that could make that happen.
The title says:
My Beauty 2010
This layout also fit the Practical Scrappers challenge to use Stitching this week, so I will be adding it there.
I never told you why I was doing this great layout.
You have until Saturday, August 21 at 11:59pm EST to post a direct link to your layout in the comments of this post.
The Sketchy Thursdays Design Team will then have the always difficult task of narrowing down the field to a Top 5. The Top 5 will then be posted here sometime on Monday, August 23 and the voting poll will be up on the sidebar until 6pm EST Wednesday, August 25. September's Guest Design Team Member will be announced the evening of Wednesday, August 25.
