Tea For One & Smoothfoam Too

Got you with that title didn't I?
So glad I could share my project today, it is one of my favorite ideas- altering vintage items.
Using a vintage tea cup and saucer and a Smoothfoam Ball I was ready to make some magic.
 1. Make sure you have a ball that will fit and still have a little wiggle room for adornment.
 2. Set your ball up somewhere that you can paint and allow to dry. I used  Dragon fruit Americana Deco art Paint.
 3. I used a heavy duty glass glue to hold my teacup to my saucer.
4. Once my ball was dry it is ready to embellished.
 5. Using a boa pieces and pearls, and paper flowers, I was able to make a decorative piece that could be used to hold jewelry or even decorative pins.
Because Smoothfoam has such a wonderful texture-the ball is able to hold my decorative pins without them drooping.

Some additional supplies I used:
Dragon fruit Americana Deco art Paint
Ranger Diamond Stickles
I Am Roses Flowers

You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby

Well Hello There!  ready to share a baby girl idea you can use as a gift or decor in your own home.
I am so thrilled to be here today sharing a quick project I put together using some standard Smoothfoam shapes.

Would you like to see a few steps to put together one of these pieces?

Using a standard 3 x 3 and 4 x 4 shape made this and easy and fast craft project to complete
I had these fat square pieces and was so thrilled to have them all ready cut and ready to use.

Using alphabet circle pieces I spelled out BABY PINS and used small pins to hold them to the cube.
I happened to have some baby toy pieces to decorate the cubes and think they really added to the design

Using my favorite tape runner I applied the flannel squares to each side of each cube.

I even used the scrap squares to cover the top of the largest cube and then placed the smaller cube on top.

How fun to add a very tiny pink ric rac along the seams with a liquid fabric glue to make the seams look clean.

Kissing Ball Of Chocolate

Hello,
It's First Monday for Designer Crafts Connection bloggers and our theme this month is "Love is Handmade"

Just wanted to pop in and share a quick and easy Smoothfoam project anyone can make for many occasions. I think this Kissing Ball would be perfect for a Valentine sweetheart... what do you think?

Smoothfoam Ball and lots of Hershey kisses in Red and Silver
 1. Start with a plain Smoothfoam 4 1/2 diameter ball
 2. Work in sections and either low temp glue gun or liquid glue can be used.
3.Alternate the red and silver candy pieces.
TIP:The paper slips can be removed from the candy before crafting if you choose not to see the paper.
4. Choose your favorite ribbon and combine a couple colors or patterns. I chose to mix a silver and red and white design. Make loops and using low temp glue gun  attach to top of ball in a decorative manner.
5. I chose to use stickles in between the kisses to cover the white spots...this is totally your choice bare is fine as you see in the above picture.
The hardest part was not eating all the candy before I finished the ball
Smoothfoam products are available at your local Michael's stores or on-line.
