Little Bird Friday Friends With Flair

Want to thank everyone for all your kind words and emails. My surgery went well and I am home recouping- I know it will be a long process but so glad to be on the mend.

A quick and simple design using a favorite Unity stamp of the month. It is  Friday Friends with Flair.

Simple stamping with the pine cone and then stamping the bird and cutting it out. I inked the background to make snow drifts.
This is one of my favorite quick cards, not sure where this bird came from but the rest of the stamps are Unity stamps.
Used my Wink Of Stella to add some glitter.
Thanks for popping in and leaving comments.

Unity Friends With Flair

It is Friday at Unity and that means Friends with Flair and I have a Christmas card to share today.
There is this spectacular sentiment I used from the Kit of the month.
Of course I used one of my favorite sets.
Here is a close up of that great sentiment embossed in gold. That bell and greenery are Tim Holtz dies.
Thanks for stopping and leaving a comment.

Friday Unity Friends With Flair

Well I am on a roll getting a few more cards done for my Christmas stash. I am thrilled I am getting so many clean and simple thin layered ones done.
Today is Friends With Flair over at Unity.
My first design is three Christmas bulbs stamped, embossed with gold powder and fussy cut.
All I added was a gold string to each and double matted for color.
This is my second favorite Unity kit of the month that I have been using for my cards.
For my second card I stamped, embossed in silver powder and fussy cut only one bulb. I decided to add the greenery in the background.
How many cards do you send out at Christmas? I usually send 50-60 and try to make at least half of them homemade.
Thanks for visiting, hope you are having a good week.

You're A Classic

Had to have a birthday card for a very special person in my life. My special friend loves cars especially older classics, so I pulled out my Stampin Up set and made a couple designs so I could give him one.
I used the same papers from my scraps on both cards and used gears from Tim Holtz for accents.
On this one I kept the tag blank until I need it so I can personalize.
Really like the textured papers and fun stamp set I used.
Wanted to share that I even finished the inside.
Hope your having a good week.

Unity Friday Friends With Flair

Popping in today to share a quick design I made using my Unity Stamp of The Month kit.
You know it is Friday and that means Friends With Flair at Unity...
Isn't that angel beautiful? I have seen so many wonderful designs made by the design team at Unity and several Friends With Flair participants. I just knew I had to make something with her.
I stamped and embossed her in silver, then using modeling paste for the background with silver embossing powder. The rays in the background is a Tim Holtz stencil.
How is that for a clean and simple design?  I am pretty happy with how she turned out.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for popping in.

Friday Unity Friends With Flair

Hello Friday, I look forward to Unity Friends With Flair. I keep most of my Unity stamps handy so I can work on cards whenever I have the time and energy.
Since Christmas is only a few weeks away I thought I better start making cards.
Both of these cards were made with Unity kit of the months.

OH-CHRISTMAS-TREE-OCTOBER-2013-KOM
This year because I injured my arm I am making smaller and more simple flat designs. Every year I spend so much sending off cards that are thicker and require several stamps. I was thrilled with so many of the stamps in this set. So I will continue to make as many designs I can even just using the sentiments.
I dug in my stash of Christmas papers and did some layering. I fussy cut several of the stamped pieces and colored with Tombow markers and Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. Those candy pieces look good enough to eat!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Of course I had to add some texture with molding paste and stencil.

Most of the papers in the background were in my supplies and the ribbon and twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Distressing A Card This Month.

Today I have a really quick card to share for my Susan K Weckesser design team project. Now of course when I make cards I always love layers, distressing, and beautiful stamped images.

I had to use some of my favorite Susan K Weckesser paper that I inked (distressed) for a vintage look.http://www.susankweckesser.com/susan_k_weckesser_incproducts
I decided to stamp and emboss my images which are the newest Susan K Weckesser stamps released.
SB-1170A-THE-GARDEN-WHATNOT-COLLECTION
Let me say that I love these Unity stamps because they always stamp so nicely and have the best details in red rubber stamps.
I chose to watercolor and distress the embossed images and fussy cut the stamped images to use for layering.

Just a couple more angles to share. I used some die cut shapes to mat my tag image. I also always love to add yummy ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and flowers and pearls for added dimension.
Wanted to share a second card I made using a tag I made last month and I love how this tag looks on a card base. Using the same paper as a base and a die cut shape under for layering.
