Leaves Of Fall

Today I am popping in to share a quick card design I made using Susan K Weckesser and The Crafter's Companion products.

Some of the stencils from TCW I used were : pod fragments,Beaded Curtain, and Harlequin.

I used Susan K Weckesser paper as a background and inked and distressed with ink.

Of course I had to add some texture with molding paste and stencil.

Most of the papers in the background were in my supplies and the ribbon and twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hope you had a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by today.

Total Love

Welcome,
Today our Susan K Weckesser design team is teaming up with TCW -The Crafter's Workshop.
TCW was so generous and sent our team so many fabulous stencils that we have all been using for awhile. Let me share a fun project I created for this special post.
Please stop over at the  Susan K Weckesser and TCW -The Crafter's Workshop to leave a comment to be entered in the daily giveaways.
I decided to create a scrapbook page with my beautiful daughter and her fur-babies.Using several of TCW stencils I created a fun background with lots of color and texture.
I used: Beaded Curtain, Bee On Time,Vineyard, Labyrinch.

Stamping with the Autumn Grunge stamp set on some of Susan's fabulous papers I was able to give some fun colors to the leaves. I covered all the leaves with crackle medium and then used TCW stencil to add molding paste wile I had distress ink drying.
Sorry for the fingers but I needed to hold so you didn't get the glare.

Well of course I had to add one of these great new tags Susan created.

Just wanted to share a couple close ups of all the layers and details on my scrapbook page.

Catching Up On Past Weeks

Oh my goodness I am getting caught up on some projects that I have done in my planner.
This is a before I added my weekly junk and notes.

Week 40 Prompt: Experiment

One of the awesome things about art journaling is it’s a great way to experiment with new techniques and ideas without a whole lot of risk – if you don’t like how it turns out there is always gesso!
 October 4, 2014 - Week 41 Challenge:  Polka dots

Week 40 Challenge:  Paint or color with three colors you never use.
 Week 39: In the City
For this week’s prompt think Cityscapes, Skylines, Skyscrapers, Architecture styles and more! You can paint, collage – whatever inspires you!
Used some of my new TCW stencils - oh yea I had so much fun using them. Lots of texture on this weeks pages.

Bloom Girls Workshop

Last year I signed up for a class with Jamie Dougherty to paint Bloom girls.

Well I finally sat and finished my girls on 12 x 12 wood.
Jamie is one of the most talented ladies I have admired forever...I am not an artist but I felt like one when I finished these ladies.

So glad I could share my pictures with you today.
I used everything from my stash to do these girls.

Angels Among Us

I am so excited to finally share a project I made using some fabulous products I won awhile back from Flying Unicorn. They were having a wonderful blog hop premiering these Prima ladies and paper.

This paper is called Time Traveler's Memories.
Mixed Media Doll Stamp by Julie Nutting.
I needed a gift for a special person that has been going through a very rough time. Her birthday was coming up and she needed something to remind her how special she is and how much she is loved.

The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Some of those fabulous flowers I used were made by Natasha from Moments of Tranquilty and I have been hoarding  saving them for a special project.
I stamped the image once on the background and twice on separate paper and paper pieced the dress on both images.

I also received these wings stamp by Pam Carrikar from a great friend. I stamped one set and fussy cut them to add to one of the girl images. I used several letter stamps and the harmony stamp from my stash.

This book is a 3 ring binder book with several pages that my friend can use to add special cards and notes and decorate more on the pages. I love adding the burlap to the cover for some fun texture.
So glad I finally got to share this great project and so enjoyed using all of the products.
Hope your having a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping.

Let Your Heart Sing Album

This month for our Susan K Weckesser team we were asked to create Mixed Media. Now we all have a different definition of that technique or style.
I decided to alter a plain white album using paper and stamps.

Here is my plain white album and how I added strong white tape to attach my designer paper from Susan K Weckesser.
I used one side of the paper for part of the cover and the backside for the other portion.
When I stamp an image sometimes I like to use the image in  reverse, that is when my mirror image stamp comes in handy. A hint is to practice a few times, sometimes it can smear and I have realized the image isn't as crisp as a straight on stamped image.
Here is my two stamped images attached together.

Isn't this a fun image? I love the whimsical style of this set, Sing your Song.
I used the sun and cloud stamp from Fly Away

The ribbon on my project is from Really Reasonable Ribbon... I love how the colors work with the Susan K Weckesser design paper.
