I Am Still Organizing! My Pink Storage

Hello...Hello...uh is there anyone still out there?

I am so sorry I have been so crazy busy that I haven't had time to make or share projects.
So a quick pop in and a new project- yippie!!!
So would you believe I did an altered organizational piece?
I had two of these in my stash and decided it would be a great piece to alter and store some of my Helmar liquid products.
Used a fabulous Americana acrylic paint as a base coat.
I had to use one of my favorite smaller glue bottles to hold the handle while I was painting and allowing to dry...lol
Next I used the Decoupage medium as a great glitter adhesive.
Covered each side and used a mixed blend of several of my favorite Pinks of glitter.
I left a good inch on the top of each side co I could add ribbon and embellishments.
450 Quick Dry  is the perfect adhesive for adding ribbon, because it doesn't bleed through and it hold forever...yea!
The first picture shows the trim and the second  has the second ribbon and a wonderful bow and fabric flower,I love these Really Reasonable Ribbons.
I even used the 450 Quick Dry to outline the top lip with vintage tape measure pieces...isn't that great?I have been saving this roll forever! Dropped a piece of styrofoam in the inside to cushion all the bottles.
Even got to use the GemStone Glue to add a pearlized gem to the center of my bow.
I decided to add some fun Baker's Twine from RRR to cushion the wooden handle
I love all the supplies I was able to fit into this container-it now sits on my craft table for easy access to my favorites.
Each day I try to pop in to more and more blogs to visit...hope everyone is doing well. I sure do miss my daily posts and visits.
Hugs everyone

Holiday Snowflakes Peace On Earth

Here is another fun design that went together quickly and looks spectacular.
I used these glittered paper pieces that are meant to be computer letters. You know for all those holiday letters about your family.
I used a standard card base and glued with Helmar 450 Glue in the seam and sandwiched a folded letter design.

I have these stamps and die cuts from  Heartfelt Creations that I always pull out each year and use in some fashion. I even used a couple CTMH stamp sets I always pull out each year. That Beautiful ink color is Nautical Blue from Memento.

Darkroom Door Projects & Helmar Products = Fun Designs

This week Helmar and  Darkroom Door have partnered  for a 'Challenge Week' where artists use Helmar adhesives, Darkroom Door stamps and paper products to create projects to inspire you!
I made this simple project first and was so pleased with how it turned out.
Next I had to make another design using the stamp set I received,I even used the stamp just as it came instead of cutting it apart! I loved how it turned out.
Let me share a few steps along the way.
I used the following  Helmar and DarkRoom Door products

Wings - Rubber Stamps (Cling Foam Included)
Wings - Rubber Stamps      Kimono Vol 2 - Filmstrips   Kimono - Wordstrips - NEW

Craft Glue 1.7 fl.oz.                      450 Quick Dry Adhesive 1.7 fl.oz.
 Craft Glue 1.7 fl.oz.     450 Quick Dry Adhesive 1.7 fl.oz.

Quickfix Adhesive Runner
    Zapdots Clear Round 1/4"
Decoupage & Craft Paste 8.45 fl.oz. Decoupage & Craft Paste 8.45 fl.oz.
This was how the filmstrips came and how I cut them apart and matted each section with white card stock.
I surely could have used my tape runner but decided I really wanted the strength of Helmar Craft Glue-It is one of my very favorite wet glues.

See I knew I was going to use my crop-O-dile and add eyelets so I wanted a very strong adhesive for the entire matted images.
I used the phrases and some dogwood flowers and attached these with zapdots and 450 to adhere.
The  last Helmar product I used was the Gemstone glue...perfect for holding the pearls attached

For my second project I used the stamp set just as it was...One set was stamped on my background and a second image in Red, and a third image in Brown. I chose to cut out a few images from the extra color and applied the decoupage paste  and sprinkled with a glitter.

Here are my images drying- it dried much faster then any other glitter glue I have used before.
I enjoyed the combination of both Helmar and Dark Room Door products.

Don’t forget to HOP over to Helmar Facebook Page and the Darkroom Door Facebook Page and then leave your comments on the Helmar Blog …..AND….the Darkroom Door blog. Leave your comments by  Saturday 22nd December 2012,and make sure you come back to see if you won!
