Misc This & That

Hello. Boy has it been a busy time of year...I feel so guilty for not being around as much as I use to be.
I guess change is good but not always easy.

I wanted to pop in and share a few things that have been happening with me
Did you see I was a guest with PK Glitz this month? I love my glitter and let me say PK Glitz is one of the finest, I have been very fortunate to be a guest there several times. Here is my first project, my second project, and my third is going up this week I believe.
Check out their Website (I am on  the front page) their STORE and their BLOG  .

On a different note I keep forgetting to share that I was lucky enough to once again be in a print magazine

Scrap & Stamp Arts Magazine the March 2013 issue
I am actually fortunate to have a project with my name listed for Really Reasonable Ribbon and also an ad for Sweet Stamps has one of my cards shown.

I always remember my friend Patti  saying after awhile you forget to share and don't want to sound  like you are bragging...but I am always thrilled when a project I made is in an ad or listed with my name.
I rarely send projects in for submissions...I know I always think I will but it takes so much time and patience and that isn't one of my virtues.

I found a new charity I KNOW I am going to have to get involved with this year...Blind Cat Rescue is an org that just is amazing and I hope to get the chance to visit sometime.

Blogger has been so sassy and not let me post what I want how I want.

I have my Traveling Box of sewing supplies ending this Thursday, have you entered?

Hopefully this week I will be able to post new pictures of many items I have for sale on my SALE PAGE

I have a giveaway ready to post soon, keep an eye open for it.

Is anyone interested in a traveling Scrapbook and crafting box? Check out the post here with the Sewing supplies- just like this but with Scrapbook and stamp, and paper craft supplies. If you would be interested, please leave a comment so I can get an idea if it would be worth my time to start one- any ideas you want to share also.

That is all for now, let me know whats new with you and I will do my best to pop in and say hello.

Happy New Year- Let Me Light The Way

So thrilled to be working with the new PK Glitz  Vintage Hues Art Acetates . You can pop over to the PK Glitz store and check out all the supplies I used in my project.

Let me share my Lantern using just one of these NEW acetates.

$4.95
New Year 1

I have a few pictures to share  of my steps along the way. Please stop over at PK Glitz Blog and see my steps and many links to several wonderful classes and great tutorials.
Here is some of my supplies when I started my lantern project.Started by choosing one of the acetates I wanted to use and cut that one from the sheet of four.
I LOVE, LOVE using this Crystal Clear with sticky papers as a mat and especially behind these acetates.
There are some wonderful classes with video of Janelle sharing some wonderful techniques RIGHT HERE
Can you believe how spectacular the colors are on these acetates? I even had to show you with a paper behind

Here are a few views  of some of my favorite glitter glitz gold.
I chose to cut four of the die cut shapes, altered them and added them to a sheet of sticky paper. This is when I added the spectacular Crystal Clear  all over.
I chose to use a band in the corners  to hold my lantern together.

Using strips down each side to assemble.
Once my piece was assembled I added a few flowers to decorate the corners
A side view so you can see the corners and arches.
I had to share a view of my lantern lit from the inside-isn't it beautiful?
PLEASE DON"T USE A LIT CANDLE INSIDE PAPER LANTERN-BATTERY OPERATED IS BEST
So glad I got to share my Vintage Hues Art Acetates
lantern with you today.
You can pop over to the PK Glitz store and check out all the supplies I used in my project.

More Christmas Cards?

Please can it be? There really is more Christmas cards...I feel bad I didn't get to share them before this week.
So let me share some fun designs using just supplies I had on hand
P K Glitz Art Acetates are the easiest to use and make such a wonderful presentation.
How about a close up? I even used PK Glitz Embossing Powder to add some richness.
I actually bought that spectacular bell jar die and have finally taken the time to make something with it. I even used the pinecone and flower die.
For these quick designs I used many of the Tattered Angels chipboard pieces they were called Glimmer Chips...can you believe I have all of these and haven't used them?
I wanted to share a close up of this great velvet snowflake paper
How about the fun design on this snow person and some glitter background paper.
See quick and easy
Happy Holidays!
