I am so excited to be here sharing a project over at The Rubber Cafe Design Team Blog today...
How lucky can a girl get? I was so thrilled to be asked to be the October guest at The Rubber Cafe, with this amazing design team and staff.
The hardest part was deciding what to work with first...
So let me share my first project with you now.
I made a cotton Halloween bag, what do you think? Each of the pieces are paper and dimensional.
Let me share the products I used.
Charming Kitty
Antique Trunk
I started by stamping this fun chest on a patterned sheet of paper and loved the leather look. I also really like Distress Ink for this type project. You know it is available in many forms besides an ink pad, even stains would work well with this type stamping.
I chose to cut out the paper piece and also remove the inside of the chest. I stamped a chest image on my cotton bag.I used theScrap Happy Glue (2 oz)
I made sure the background of my image was well covered so it wouldn't lift up.
I stamped and fussy cut two of the fun cat, are those glasses and hats the cutest? After fussy cutting I covered both cats with Funky Flock - Black Soot and LOVE the texture. I popped one cat in the chest and decided to use this new to me
Tea Stained Mica Fragments
These fragments work wonderful with the chest and really look like a treasure.
The last step was to stamp a couple extra cat faces and cut out just the glasses and hats.
Used some fun dimensional glitter to accent these pieces and then attached with Scrap Happy Glue .
I even used Scrap Happy Glue
to attach a funky ribbon from my stash of Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Well that is my fun project I have to share today, hope you enjoyed my first post. I will be back the end of the month with another.
I love it so cute, I love the chest satmp! been looking for a stamp like that thank you. Super job!!
