Welcome Everyone
I am excited to once again share my post as a member of the Designer Crafts Connection...today I am happy to be joining the monthly blog hop. There are some of the most talented crafters around on this team.
The Designer Crafts Blog Connection is a group of professional Arts & Crafts industry designers, who are linked together to support each other and industry manufacturers with one objective - to share their love of crafts with as many people as possible. We post projects and giveaways on the First Monday of each month. Look for this logo on your favorite craft blogs then hop around for inspiration. You'll be glad you did!
If you look to the right you will see my Designer Craft Connection Logo with an option to go forward or back and check out many of the designers.
Our theme is "Vintage", crafting with old stuff...
Now you know this is right up my alley!!!
Do you think this qualifies as a vintage piece??? Oh my word can you believe we use to carry these pieces when we traveled? OK I know this looks a little weird for a project but trust me!
I used Gesso to cover that BLUE... not my favorite color at all.
This is how my suitcase turned out, I totally love my new piece and am in love with the colors and design.
Wanted to share a couple steps along the way,I tried to use some fun pieces such as scrap papers.
I decided to make grass and adhere it down with my favorite Mod Podge.
Can you see the old dress patterns I used to cover the edges?
I wanted to share the side view so you can see that I added ribbon along the track in the front and back.It really helped tone down the blue.
Here is a view of the back, you can really see the dress pattern back here, I love this open pallet for another project. If I get tired of the front scene I can do something completely different back here.
