Welcome My I Admire You Guest- Kathy

Everyone
I have a treat for you today ! Today my guest is one of my new friends that has really impressed me with her crafting skills.Kathy from Kathy's Double K Krafts.
Kathy and I are design team members at Crafter's Companion-you will see how sweet  and talented she is.Won't you welcome my guest today.

Hi Everyone,

Today I want to thank Dawn for
the honor of being guest designer
on her blog.

Dawn is amazing, as you well know, and
has so many wonderful projects.
She has helped me in so many ways
in my journey as a blogger and crafter.

This is what I have created today, I
hope you enjoy the Easter eggs.

I started with white acrylic paint
and some paper mache eggs.

Painted them white, and let them dry.

Then pulled out some twinkling H20s,
rub ons and crafting foil.

You can use any kind of rub ons.
( The bugs are great for the boys)
I purchased these at the local craft
store. And the fairy decals are from
Crafter's Companion.

Then just have fun.
Rub the decal on first, then paint
over the top with the H20's.
If you don't have the H2o's just use
watercolor paints with a little pearl ex.
Or you can get "Iridescent Medium", and that makes everything water based sparkle.
(You can get that at Michael's)
After you get the eggs the way
you want them, just spray with a
glossy sealant. This way even if they
get wet they will be O.K.

For the craft foil, I just sprayed the
eggs with a good tacky glue and wrapped
the foil around it, and peeled it off.
Then sealed it.
So easy!

These eggs are for the older children,
or the adult baskets, please do not put
them in the little ones baskets.
They may think they can eat them,
and that would be a no no.

Here are a few more pictures of some
of the eggs I made, I hope you enjoy
them.

You will have splits and cracks
when you use the rub ons.
They were not designed to be put on
a round surface. Just do the best you can.
They are not meant to be perfect.
Just have fun!!!

These were so fun to make!!
Maybe this would be something you might
want to do with the kiddos.
The paper mache eggs can be kept.
You can use water color paints, just
like the ones they use in school.
Put some old clothes on the children
and make a day of it.
Start a new tradition.

Thank you again Dawn.

Have a great Easter everyone.

Did I tell you she was amazing? If you could please leave some love for Kathy I would appreciate. You can always visit her at Kathy's Double K Krafts.
