Floral  Layout

Floral layout of my daughter

Vintage Wildflower stamp set, Innoscents flowers stamp set, Falling Leaves Die, blossom two die, Peony die,Spell binders –Rose Creations, Cheery Lynn- Olive Branch, Fanciful flourish.Quickutz butterfly die.

Inks- Stampin Up, Memento

Instructions Floral Layout
Start by choosing several coordinating papers and stamp and die cut various flowers to layer. Die cut leaves and vines. Use a piece of foam and McGill flower making kit to individually make each flower, shaping and inking the edges as you.
Use a white piece of card stock and mat an embossed sheet of designer paper with decorative border. Double Mat picture and angle to right side of layout.
Gradually lie flowers out in a design you like (pre plan before adhering) Go slowly and use a liquid glue for thinner vines and gradually use pop dots to attach flowers at different levels. At this point add pearls to flower centers and edges of layout.
Attach word title by using a clear ruler with words spelled out and half stuck to ruler and hanging over edge. Easy to attach and see alignment on the layout.
Last steps are to use pop dots and twist ribbon in between flowers and attach a bow in at least one area.
My last step is to outline letter stickers and edges of some of the flowers.

Some of you that are my faithful followers might remember this project that I shared at Christmas time

Poinsettia Wreath

I wanted to share a wreath I made this past December.
Supply List:
Regal Poinsettia Stamp Set, Open Falling Leaves Stamp Set, Blossom Nestabilities, Falling Leaves Die set,Book Die Cut,Pine Branch die cut (Cheery Lynn),Vintage Music sheets, Memento Ink( tuxedo black, Rich Cocoa,New Sprout,Lady Bug,Bamboo Leaves),Lipton tea bags, Close tom My Heart card stock-White,Red,Green,Red Ribbon-Really Reasonable Ribbon, Berries-Hobby Lobby floral, Gold Elastic Ribbon-Hobby Lobby
Instructions to make a wreath:
Start with a basic wreath shape, I chose to use a foam material.
Take old sheet music and cut or tear into 2’inch strips. I used (7)-Seven pages. Make a tea mixture to stain your music strips. I like to steep 5-6 tea bags with 4 cups water and let it sit with the strips for 10 minutes or less.
While you have the tea mixture you can die cut more music sheets with the book shape or you can make your own special pages with stamps-like verses or hymns.
After steeping the papers I place my sheets on an absorbent towel and let dry, these can also be dried with a heat gun. It will be your personal preference to how dark you choose to make the strips; I like to re-stain a couple times.
A strong liquid adhesive that holds to foam suggested. Hot glue was used for the assembly of this wreath.
Slowly wrapped the strips making sure to completely cover the foam shape, make sure each new strip is flat and does not show a gap.
Stamp flower stamp and leaves enough times to cover your wreath, embossing is recommended to give dimension.15- (3 layer) sets were made to finish this wreath. Die cut all shapes using matching die cuts, these also could be hand cut if you don’t have matching sets yet.
Distress ink the edges to give a little dimension and shape with fingers. Each flower was assembled, distressed, and finished with Stickles.
Miniature music book was matted with a Chipboard base distressed with ink. Several pages were layered to give a full look, and tied with elastic gold trim and accented with a smaller flower.
Red and white berries were added for more texture and a 2’inch red ribbon was used to hang from the top. Extra greenery dies can be used to accent or fill in areas at this time.

Thanks so much for checking out my post I hope you take the time to vote- you could win also!
