Something Old is New Again

How about a fun challenge? Oh yea you know I love my challenges
Creative Inspirations Paint has a new one this week
Each week you will be given a challenge to find inspiration in/from what ever the challenge theme is... you can be as literal or abstract in your inspiration as you want....Just make sure you can tie it back to the theme! Challenge closes at 6:00pm Eastern on Saturday.

You will always be able to jump back to the current challenge by clicking the "Current Challenge" link in the sidebar. The rules can always be found by clicking the tab "Challenge Rules" at the top of the page.

You do not need to use the Creative Inspirations Paints in your project, however, if you do, tell us which colors you used, and your name will go in the drawing twice! Each month, one person will win 5 jars of paint in the colors of their choice. The winner will be randomly drawn from all the people who have played that month, so make sure to join in on our challenges each week!

This week's challenge is:

Something Old
Here is my old chalk board
I found this at our local second hand store, love to alter these type items.

This is a close up of the details. I used the following colors

I wanted it to look distressed and sparkle...what do you think?  I used the coal to paint the letters and stamp this older CTMH  image all around the edge. Pearl strips and gems were the last thing I just had to add .
I attached all the Stickles with velcro
I seen this idea on Pinterest and just had to make it my own way.

So I hope you play along with us this week at Creative Inspirations Paint-would love to see what you create.

  1. What a great idea! Love how you altered this great find. And what a great way to store Stickles! I was dying to find out how they were "stuck" to the board. . . Velcro of course! Hope you are doing well! Best, Curt
