Dawn here again to share a tutorial today-sure hope you like my project.
At Really Reasonable Ribbon there are so many yummy ribbons to choose from-the choice was difficult at first.
My project today is a gift for someone special, so I knew what color to choose.
***Only one of these red ribbons are available***
I used Red Wrinkled Ribbon , Ivory Wrinkled Ribbon and one red ribbon that is no longer available.(I hate when that happens)
Let me share a few steps to make this re-purposed project
This is the picture I found at a second hand store-I just popped out the picture.
I actually used the picture as my base. That is cork board blocks I had in my supplies.
I found a small check fabric that was perfect for my bulletin board. I took the time to cut the size correctly and iron all the wrinkles out.
Love when fabric is ironed, then I went about cutting the ribbon to size.I started by pinning the ribbon in place-then went and sewed the sides carefully.
I never said I was a great seamstress but I really wanted the columns to be staggered!!!
I decided to hot glue the piece together and to chipboard before placing back in the frame.
There were even strong hooks already there. Had to share the price on the back, I got it on half price day so it was even cheaper...lol
Here is a close up of the corners decorated with flowers from Pizzazz Aplenty and wrinkled ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I even found some pearlized balls to accent with.
I sure hope my special someone enjoys this gift.
