Altered Drawer Idea

I was out shopping one day at a vintage store in my area. I found this old sewing drawer that was in VERY rough shape.
The picture didn't turn out so I am sorry I couldn't show you a before picture.

I decided that I couldn't resist trying to alter just a little.
I had this great knob in my stash- I think it is from Tim Holtz or 7 gypsies.
I used some of Tim Holtz tape to cover all the rough edges.
I used old sewing patterns to line the inside- just put down mod podge first.
I have this great burlap ribbon that I cut in sections and put that on the bottom.

Used some vintage lace, doilies, and buttons from my stash.
Those yummy flowers are from Pizzazz APlenty.
It really looks great sitting on my desk.
Have you altered anything lately? Leave me a link so I can pop in and check it out.
Thanks for visiting- hope you come back often

  7. What a fun project! You did a great job. I have only altered things like chipboard and a few boxes, never anything like this. I love it, should probably keep my eyes open for something to alter and give it a try.
